My daughter turned two yesterday and she is a very picky eater. My sons were like that but now they eat whatever you put in front of them. I tried the same techniques with her I used on them but it doesnt seem to work. She is happy and eats all her favorites but I want to introduce different types of fruits and veggies so she doesnt burn herself out on her favorites. So how did you get your kids to try something different and healthy?

DS is 16 months and his food wants seem to change every few days. We like to introduce new things by telling him the name and letting him say it first. He gets all excited about learning new words. Yesterday it was broccoli. He likes the way it sounds and gets happy about it. He only ate a couple of pieces, but he's got a good impression because he knows the word. Just try it again and again. :)

I don't know! I'm still trying to figure it out. My pediatrician said that when I started feeding my girls, to introduce sweet foods last. Maybe this can help. He said that introducing kids to meats and vegetables first is the way to go. We always think of fruit as healthy but it encourages a sweet tooth. But my kids are really picky and I can't get them to eat anything...so my advise is probably pretty lame.
