What the BIBLE says about MUHUMMED (Peace be upon Him)

It had always been my keen interest to find what the Bible has to say about Muhummed, who had been responsible for the bringing into being a world wide community of millions of Believers who, on his authority believe in (1) the miraculous birth of Jesus (2) that Jesus is the Messiah (3) that he gave life to the dead by God's permission, and that he healed those born blind and the lepers by God's permission. The Old Testament has many prophecies regarding the coming of Jesus, but not one single prophecy where Jesus is mentioned by name, the term 'Messiah' translated 'Christ' is not a name but a title. So how did anyone conclude that those prophecies refered to Jesus. You see, prophecies are word pictures of something that is going to happen in the future, when that thing actually comes to pass we see vividly in these prophecies the fulfilment of what had been predicted in the past. What we actually do is that we deduce, we reason and we put two and two together. If this is what they have done to justify their claim regards to the genuiness of Jesus why should we not adopt the very same system for Muhummed. Lets consider Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18 the English translation reads as follows: "I WILL RAISE THEM UP A PROPHET FROM AMONG THEIR BRETHREN, LIKE UNTO THEE, AND I WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH; AND HE SHALL SPEAK UNTO THEM ALL THAT I SHALL COMMAND HIM". In this prophecy God is addressing Moses and saying to him that he will raise a prophet from among their brethern (the Arabs are the brethern of the Jews) and the main emphasis is that "LIKE UNTO THEE", that is he will be like Moses. And the most suitable candidate for this prophecy could only be Muhummed, since he is the only person who has the most similarities with Moses. The prophecy further proceeds "AND I WILL PUT MY WORDS IN HIS MOUTH", it means that I will teach you a subject about which you have no knowledge and I will ask you to read or repeat after me what I utter. As we are all aware that Muhummed did not know to read and write and history tells us that Muhummed was forty years of age, he was in a cave some three miles north of the City of Mecca, it was the 27th night of the Muslim month of Ramadaan, in the cave the Archangel Gabriel commands him in his mother tongue READ or PROCLAIM or RECITE! I wish many of you to take part in this discussion and I also look forward to your views regarding the above subject.

Hi nishat_san, This is a very imp piece of info. There have been many instances where the prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) was asked to prove whether he is geniune or not, and he has proved it to them. An interesting piece of info is the tale of the Seven men in the cave.

Hi, I have read of the incident of the Seven Men of the cave. It is an very interesting story and was used to test the authenticity of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). The story goes as under The Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. was challenged by some Jews of Medina to tell him the story of the sleepers as none of the Arabs knew about it. The Jews knew that he would only be able to tell the story if he was a real prophet. Thus the Jews told the non-believers of Mecca to ask the prophet, "Who were the youths who disappeared, how may where they?". The Prophet did not answer, he said that he would answer the next day, it was then the angel Gabriel, who revealed the answer in Surah Kahf(The Cave). The Jews were amazed as the Quran revealed the story exactly as the Jews Knew of. But the Quran did not answer how many men were there, it said that some say there were 3, 5 or 7 men in the cave. Some even say that there was a dog named Qitmir. Even the Jews did not know how many men were there and were amazed at the the possibilities the Quran gave were exactly the same as they knew.
