Hi, At 12 years old the first thing I remember ever cooking was french toast and potatos... Then I would wrap some french toast up in foil, take them to school and sell them to my mates for $1.00 each lol. They love to eat them so much, and I would not share the simple recipe

I was a teenager and I had gotten a small paperback book from some food company, Carnation and the book was for helping teenage girls to cook for different themed parties. I didn't cook an entire meal for a party but I did make a pan of enchiladas for the whole family and we all ate them. I don't remember exactly what they tasted like but we all ate them so they had to at least be edible! That was my first time to cook by myself. The second time was worse, much worse. I didn't have a recipe and I didn't know how to cook chicken but I needed to make dinner. So I got the chicken, cut it up any way that I could, put flour on it and fried it in a skillet of oil until it looked golden brown and delicious. The only thing is I didn't know that you had to cover your chicken and cook it for 30 minutes to cook it all the way through. Needless to say it was raw and everyone complained!

The first thing I cooked was rice . And it was all on my own. Thanks to the technology and the inventor of Rice Cookers, it was a success ! LOL! =)
