Magazines have gotten so expensive now a days that I just don't subscribe to as many as I used to...good gracious some magazines are as expensive as paperbacks a few years ago--LOL--I do tend to read books in my interests, since I'm a writer...Poets & Writers, The Writer, and Writers Digest...as a photographer..Shutterbug, Modern Photographer...as the computer geek, MacWorld...every once in awhile though I splurge and buy Unique Homes and daydream how the other half live who can afford homes that start at a mere million--LOL

I satisfy that urge cheaply by going on line- There are two sites for elegant daydreaming- one is Luxe- which is a magazine about horrifically expensive stuff- and the other is TerraCognita- which shows castles in Europe for sale and other million dollar finds. Oh yes, here we are with our social security angst and trying to decide if we'll keep the two hundred year old murals on the dome above the bed in the mistress suite. Cool, I like being grounded-its what I like about you, too.LOL

I like the normal glossy womens magazines, like Glamour, Marie Claire, New Woman etc. I like to look at the make up pages mostly, but also the fashion pages even though i'd enver be able to afford the clothes they feature! Nice to have some escapism though.

I don't read all of these magazines all the time, but ones I like are People, ESPN the Magazine, Hallmark Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Natural Health, and Premiere. I'm always looking to see if someone had come up with a new and innovative magazine, but usually it's a one track mind magazine. Like being only devoted to fashion, or only dedicated to gossip (I hate tabloids).

I don't really read that many magazines. The only two I have a subscription to are Hobby Farms and Mother Earth News. Somehow I also wound up with a free subscription to American Baby.I'd like a subscription to Family Fun Magazine but it'd be too much to pay for another subscription right now. I hardly have time to read the ones I do have.

My favorite magazine is Bust. It's sort of a feminist magazine. I also like Smithsonian. Other magazines we subscribe to include National Geographic, Seed, Lucky, Wired, and Popular Photography.

I like Time and Newsweek...both have pretty good and informative articles about current geopolitical events as well as include topics about lighter things of society such as art and entertainment.

I get skin care magazines like Dayspa and Skin, Inc and enjoy reading them-free to the trade. You probably get them too. One of thr things I love about the salon where I work is that our boss subscribes to everything. So for no money I get to read them all, course that's really because we don't have enough business LOL, aat the end of the month if there are any I want I can have them. Cottage Living is a favorite. the one I really would buy if I had it in my budget is Real Simple. I also love and keep my copies of MArtha Stewart Living, and O the Oprah Winfrey magazine. But all the home decorating and fashio/make-up/style are at work. In August, my birth month I treat myself to Vogue and Bazaar because those fat issues will hold my attention right up to Christmas.

cant say I am big on magazines, I think in my entire life I have only had 3 subscriptions one to newsweek, the other to astronomy and recently I ordered a magazine called coastal living. I dont live on the coastline but have always dreamed of it. The stories are usually about people who build or fix up houses so it really interested me.
