I went to the mailbox and saw a letter marked to the family of Michael Andrew G***. So, started reading. I know how well Mikey does in school so I figured it was something good. It said "I am delighted to inform you that Michael has been nominated for memberships in the National Society of collegiate scholars. (NSCS)-the honor society for first and second year students.
I continued to read and it said that members in the society is for honor students who are in the top 20 of their class with a 3.4 or better grade point average. membership is conferred by invitation only after careful review by the NSCS admissions committee. He gets all kinds of privileges including scholarships. this was sent to me by the College he is attending so i know its legit. I am so proud of my Mikey I had to share it with all of you.
This is something he can add to his port folio when he graduates and looks for work as a meteorologists.
Tell something here that you are proud of you child or some other loved one. Something that they did an exceptional job on. Or even something little.

Wow...that's great....Congratualations to him and your family. My son recently got his report card and he has a A average...in grade nine, so we are very proud of him for that. He has kind of lagged last year and had some problems but he has managed to bring up his grades and stay on course...so we are very happy....

I hate to rain on your parade but it sound like a program that wants you to buy a book and to give information on relativs and then they will try to sell them a book. If they are trying to sell you a book with his picture in it beware.

Hello, mssnow, congratulations, your sons are so smart, and i also read another discussion about your elder son.He will be a very sucessful meteorologist later.
I am proud of my father, he had been working hard to try to support the whole family, when i was young ,he tried to do everything he could to make us happy, he tried to spend less on himself and give the money to us. He is great.:)

Congragulations and that is something for your son to be proud of. I am very proud of my son. He is married and has three children. He stays at home with them and he also home schools them. He is doing a excellent job with them and you can see that they are very well adjusted kids. They will do very well when they have to go out into the world because of how he is raising them.

Well, Congratualations!! I bet you are very proud of him. I would think that your so exited that your out danceing in the streets. Maybe he'll be a meteorologist that can actually predict the weather instead of just guessing like they do know. LOL Take care!!

You are kidding? You've got a son, and not only one as I understand it from another discussion. Hey, where do I fit in then? *hmph*
