A call for prayer -My sister in law just recieved a letter.........

April 27, 2007 9:44pm CST
from her husband ( who is locked up) asking for a divorce. There is no given reason. Just simply, it's over. She is completely heartbroken. The problem is that she is bipolar. She is on medication, but her problem is really bad. The family is afraid she is going to hurt herself. We are asking that you come in agreement in prayer with us. Thank You.

I am so sorry to hear this. That is very upsetting to hear. I hope everything will work out for her. I am a firm believer that things happen in life for a reason and God has a reason for everything that happens. So I hope this turns out for the best. Your family and sister-in-law will be in my prayers. God Bless!!!

I also believe things happen for a reason. But this was a big blow. I saw how much they loved each other. She is a beautiful girl. She complete gave up everything for him. When he was locked up, she travels to see him, every chance she can financially. ( 8 hours travel- twice a month) She gave this guy her all.

I'm sorry your sister-in-law is going through this. Changes for a person with bipoar disease does not come easy. I will be praying for her and for your family so that they will have the wisdom with words to say and the support your sister-in-law will need.

Yes. Thank You. We do need wisdom as to how to approach her and what to say. She was taken to an aunts house where we will take turns watching her. She is a threat to herself right now. Her mom, two aunts, four cousins, a friend and myself will take turns caring for her the next few days.

Sounds like you have it under control but at any point someone will bipolar disease can snap as I'm sure you know (this is why you are watching over her). God knows what He is doing and has everything under control as long as we leave it in His hands. He will never put more on us than we can bear.

Oh, honey, as soon as I finish this post, I'm going to the Lord in prayer. I'm bipolar and I don't know how I'd handle it if that happened to me, especially since it appears she doesn't live close to you or your husband. Please keep us updated on how she is and how this whole thing works out.

I just spoke to her. She is completely torn. She always calls me for prayer or just talk. When she needs me, spiritually, i am always there. But this time, I don't know what to tell her. I told her just to ask the Lord to help her through this. HE is the only one who can. I can't heal her heart, only the Lord can. But what do you say, when someone asks you, why me. Why did God allow this to happen to me.

Oh what a shame, it's bad enough she has one thing to deal with but this is simply adding more. Standing in agreement of prayers for this situation and may God be with you as you and your family help her through this. "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:19-20

Your welcome - it's funny I just included that scripture in the e-book I'm working on. This is another I used and have often found very helpful. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
