Building trust between yourself and a horse is not easy. As a matter of fact, it is like any friendship. Since the death of my horse, I have never really connected with another in the exact same way. What happens when that trust is breached or harmed? Read about it in this article and let me know what you think....Thanks ! http://www.helium.com/tm/299014

ok, i finally got the link to work on my computor1 i started riding ,well my mom put me on horses as soon as i could sit up well, lol! i was an acomplished rider by the time i was 9-10 with many wins under my belt. nelieve me,i have had my share of riding accidents, more concussions than i have fingers, lol! i never ever was afraid to get up and back in the sadle. the worst accidnet i had as far as injuries i to this day cant remember. i was with two friends and we had gone to a neighboring bording stable and were useing their jumpping arena,at night, bareback(not unusual though) without hardhats. i dont know what happened, and my friends didnt see what happened,i woke up in a heap on the gound, not knowing who i was,who my friends were or or how i,d gotten there. so my friend calls my poor mom and says, over the phone,um, dont worry, sue is fine, she just cant remember anything. i had it tunred out a skull frature, amnesia, and scratched the cornia of one eye. the jup was one of those 1/2 circles with a bar over the top, like railrood tracks. when i was well enough to ride again iwent back and jumped it again just ot prove to myself we could. i was a bit anxiouse, but did it anyways. 6 months after that i had my horse in a light snaffle, and pointed him at a log under a steal electrical transformer, well he grabbed th ebit and shot off over the log( he loved to jump) but swerved into one of the steal beams supporting it. i threw an arm up to block it,recieved permanent muscle damage on my arm, crushed disks in my back and severe whiplash. a woman brought myhorse back to where i was stagering around haveing knocked my eqaulibrium off, holding my limp twisted arm,yet i climbed on my sadaless horse and rode him to the phone to call my mom. her first words were omg, what has that horse done toyou this time! i said i kinda couldnt use my right arm. i,ve been rolled on,stepped on, bucked off, once my friends horse wouldnt jump a jump for her,so i got on,and infront of abotu 10 people put him to the jump,he started to go up,stopped, then jumped it,so it launched me up and over his head, still holding the reins and i landed on my feet to the side, still holding him,and after a minute of shocked silence everyone cheered and asked me to do it again!lol! so i did, but stayed in the saddle that time. it wasnt untill i was 34 and in an abusive relationship with a man who broke my arm,and it never healed right, my doctore told me if i fell again it would break again,it was then that i was afraid to ride. but it took another humann to instill that fear, not a horse.

to have a good relationship with horse is not easy. i grew up in a family where big animals are commonly around. among the horses that we have had, the entire family had only one favorite horse. this horse is friendly to all of us, anyone among can touch him, hold him and ride him anytime. the horse will have to have felt the love and care of his master since as a young calf (i hope the term is right). it is possible though that one will find a grown up one which will be suitable just like when friends meet when they are already of age. but this rarely happens.
