It is perfectly right to give chances to new players. As u will agree that both Sachin and Ganguly are in the last phase of their career and after they leave cricket we will need some new players ready to play international cricket. And u cant be so demanding to play new players against really good teams and allow them to perform well. its always better to try new players against the weaker teams first and even though Bangladesh might have defeated India and South Africa in world cup, still they are a weak side and its perfectly right trying new players against such a team.
