Most members here on my page know I have a Beagle named BUSTER.
Beagles are known for two great problem attributes.
They love to dig & the howl at almost anything & everything.
I've had the police called when we first got him due to howling.
At that time the cops sat 2 houses away to see/hear the situation.
After 10 minutes they said there wasn't a problem in their eyes.
Just try to keep it down at nighttime. Well today Buster was having a blast chasing squirrels etc. Of course he started his howling big time. Its so loud too. Hahaha. Anyhow a neighbor came over asking what the problem was. I invited her in my yard to watch Buster chase the squirrels. She laughed & apologized saying she almost called the cops. But she felt she should talk to me first. Now this is what neighbors should do first & foremost. Not like the one that called the cops first time hearing him. Anyhow I just wanted to relate this to show that there are some great considerate understanding people in the world as far as loud dogs etc. Attatched is a pic I took today of his antics. This is a great sgot of his howling at the air. Too funny. Enjoy.

Oh, how I wish I had your neighbor. Our son has a black laborador that has a tendency to be very protective of us and often times can be found barking in her kennel run in the backyard. One day, when we first started putting her out there she would bark frequently, but not consistently so I was not concerned. Then when the whole family was in the house she came beating on the door saying that she was trying to read her bible and could not due to our dog barking and that if we did not stop him from barking she was going to call animal control on us. My boyfriend was in shock that she was so mean to us, I was appalled at his threat to call animal control, how rude of her. If only she had taken a different approach it would have worked out best for everyone concerned. To date, they have a for sale sign on their front yard and I am not a mean person but I hope that they sell quickly, I would not wish these neighbors on anybody with pets.

Tell all your friends about the house for sale.
Hahahahaha. Thnaks for a response also.
Speaking of neighbors attatched is a photo of the neighbors daughter.
Look to the right of Busters ear at the red blur.
She fed him a milk bone I gave to her for this purpose.
I love how he looks strange jumping like this.

Yes if only people would work at being good neighbors. We've had some play the drums at 3 am and I can tell you it's someone who really needs practice. Dogs are very wonderful and loyal family members and I can tell you're enjoying Buster. He's a nice looking boy.

What is it with dogs howling? Our Dalmation howls, at all sirens. The ambulance, Fire Brigade & poilce all get a reasponse from him. This sets off many other dogs in the neighbourhood. And yet, our little mini fox terrier, never howls.
Your photo of Buster looks like he is full howling mode. Just as well you had one lot of neighbours who were understanding.
I rated & commented on this excellent photo of Buster.

Aww, what a sweet neighbor! i'm glad she went to your home and asked what was going on. At least she was able to see that your sweet little Buster was just having fun and not trying to cause trouble.
That was a great shot of him, by the way. Very cute!

Oh grandpa, I wish I can have a dog like Buster too. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to dog. How nice to know that there are still people who can understand what its like to have a pet dog. Anyway, I have some little human creatures of my own here who did nothing but to keep howling all day, LOL! Happy posting, grandpa.

Thanks for this, Grandpa Bob. Our neighbours have a Beagle named Lady, and she can 'howl up a storm'. Since I'm their little girl's daycare provider, the dog's howling serves a good purpose for me. If I'm trying to get in touch with them, I can always tell when they've just come home, as the first thing they do is let her out in the yard, and the howling begins ... Great photo!

Great to hear that you have good neighbors. I have a mini. doberman pincher. He digs alot to. My niece will go sit on the ground beside him. He will dig stuff up then spit it in her hand. He's good at diggin up Cole when he is at my neighbors house. There use to be a old cole stove there & there is alot of scattered cole burried in the ground. He digs it up & brings it to her all the time.

I love Buster already.
When my husband and I moved into town from the county we got the cops called on us because of our dogs barking he is a papillion. One neighbor called the cops 3 times. She said the dog barked until 11 pm. The dog sleeps in a kennel and I put him to bed at 8pm. I now have a bark collar, it shocks him if he barks to loudly. I hate it very much. I call it his necklace I do not keep it on him all the time. It mates in his hair under his neck and makes sores so I take it off of him. When he starts to get out of hand I threaten him with his necklace and he quiets down. The "necklace" is off of him more than on him now.
Our home has a picture window in the front of our home that is 6" off the floor I love it because the dog and the cat sit on the floor and can look out the windown. I love coming home and seeing them watch me in the window. On the other hand he sees everyone in the street, the neighbors cannot move without me knowing about it. Oh yes and my neighbors cat Petie does not like the cat. Oh well one of these days the cat and him will lean to tolerate each other.
