I am still wondering if this is a plot to stop the beatles from reigning as the toughest band ever. Though some people say that John Lennon's popularity went to his head and bragged about it. Still it is his personal opinion that counts. And he proved it as they become the most popular during their era. Who do you think is the mastermind of his death? Do CIA have the answers? Pls. give your best opinions. If you have proofs of what really transpired. You better share it with everyone. You might solve the case differently from authority reports.

I had read an article, I have saved it on my computer, but can't paste it here because I haven't completed 500 posts yet. It says that John Lennon was killed under a political conspiracy. He had become the most popular figure in US and was becoming more and more popular because of his songs, articles written in news paper and thoughts published. His thoughts were of the political nature which eliminated the need of politicians. It posed severe threat to the Ronald Reagan government. And so a person was programmed to killed him, who later didn't even remember why did he kill Lennon.

Absolutely ! Chapman was just the guinea pig the CIA and government officials hid behind knowing John was posing a severe threat to the current wave of thinking between Republicans and Democrats. He was beginning to create a mass consciousness that would get so fed up with politicians that revolutions wouldn't be necessary just quitting "we the people protest", would serve better as Lennon described in his songs, news articles and public or private sector speeches. He was a very wise man, an intuitive that got lured into the political court only to be a bigger threat now passed over . . .

I think if there were some people he stepped on their toes as he became too popular, then those are probably the people who plotedhis demise-it happens a lot in this world of malice, intrigue and calculated hatred

I don't think it was a conspiracy. I have no proof to that. But neither does proof exist that it was. I think Chapman has his issues. He thought the words were speaking to him. Were about him. He was deranged, a lunatic. And unless it's the best cover up in the world, I think he acted alone.
