I have been with ii since 1995 and been extremely happy with it. I'll share with you my experience with it for this year to come ok. I have 'deposit first' one week of a one bed at my resort in Africa. This deposit basically costs £380 for my maintainence fee and £99 for the ii admin fee. So I've secured a Marriot exchange to a two bed beach front in Marbella. If you look at Marriotts site and book a 2 bed apartment in May it costs euros 2443. Yes flights are also needed and spending money but to be fair euros to pounds there is a saving of about £1300 on the price of booking this apartment. I reckon ii is best for American timesharers as it's prolific and their books of ii are full of them. The ii website is easy to use and the system for me works well. I still get disgusted at how prices rise during school term holidays but that isn't exclusive to timeshare. Anyway, timeshare questions and ii are something I can and will fairly discuss at any time. So please post in and at least you'll get me giving honesty. I am not a salesman, I do not work in timeshare. I just love getting the best quality from my vacation both at my home resort and at my getaways and extras that come in the package that is ii. Obviously I get the uk ii extras not the usa ones. But to any end I only do honest answers.

I just joined myLot today and found your post on II. We own a timeshare through Westgate & exchange through Interval International. We have been owners for over 6 years. We are for the most part satisfied with our overall experience, but do find it annoying that it is sometimes hard to book our vacation at the exact resort we have picked to be our destination. We are learning as time goes by that the sooner you get on the waiting list for a particular resort the better your chances are. In order to do this though, your maintenance fee has to be pain in full for the year you are requesting. That makes it a bit more difficult. What experiences have you had thus far? btw, welcome to the timeshare world!
