Tattoos of partners name

There are two couples we hang out with that have each others names tattooed on ec. otr. We've played with the idea before but never went through with it. Then when we found out our friends had done it we were a little surprised. One of the couples has really had some issues and now my wife is really into having it done. I really like body art but I'm not sure how far I would go with it...
Have you or would you put your girl/boy friends name on your body? Or Wife/Husband? If you have done it, is the tattoo in a private place? or is your tat were the world can see it? Do you regret having it done? Anyone have an ex's name still tat'ed on but not regret it?

I think it's sweet but they would likely regret it if they broke up.... it's really painful healing a broken heart but nothing compared if you'll decide to take off the tattoo... I know based on experience... I had a tattoo lasered to be erased, but what the hell, it's supposed to be treated for 4 to 5 sessions but after just one session I know It's over, i don't want to it again... now it's just a scar... a really ugly scar on my ankle... but I'm thinking of retattoing it again.
I"ll tattoo somebody's name on me when we are old enough like 65 years old... It's more sure that we'll end up together. hihihi
