My Husband Says Sometimes I scare Him With My Predictions

I went to the city yesterday for my MRI and MRA and I went with my husband and my daughter. My daughter took her van as she has a new vehicle and she wanted to be there for me. All day driving I had an uneasy feeling. I finally told my daughter I felt like there was going to be a crash sometime in the day. At first she made light of it asking if her driving was scaring me. I told her no, but I was bothered by something. I thank God we got there and back safely. We have to come to my daughters town before we get to where we live and I was in no hurry to go on for home. My daughter said maybe we should stay for supper and I jumped all over that one. We went to the store and we bought steaks and my daughter made her to die for salad and we had a BBQ. We ate supper visited a bit and I was ready then to head home as we had another 3/4 of an hour drive. We had my husbands truck and he was driving. We hadn't even got to the end of city limits when we noticed a real bad accident and the police were directing traffic. We had to stop for gas and the attendant told us when the accident occurred and if we would have got out of my daughters van and into our truck and headed home it's very possible we would have been in the wrong place at the wrong time. All my husband did was look at me and he said, "Oh you scare me sometimes with your predictions." I've done this sort of stuff before. Has anyone else done this ? What happened ?

That was very nice of your daughter to be there for you, Oh what a lovely daughter you have as she invited you for dinner and luckily that you stayed at your daughters home a bit longer than expected other wise you may have been involved in that car accident. Yes this has happened to me a few times in my life and one was I had a prediction that my mother was going to be in an accident and I grabbed the wheel and put the car on the edge of the road and in that exact spot that was where her cousin later was killed by the police a couple of years later so it does scare me when I get a prediction and they always come true.

Getting these predictions can be a good thing but it gives you an awful feeling sometimes.

although we find it scary when we know somebody who can give predictions accurately, still i should say that this is more of a plus factor. it will be good to listen to these feelings because, they will be able to lead us away from accidents at most of the times.

I have never predicted anything bad happening that actually did happen. I have only predicted good things that ended up happening. Of course, it mainly had to do with sporting events as I would predict certain hitters would hit home runs at certain times and it actually did happen a few times. I was like, "Cool". :-) I am glad that you stopped and had dinner at your daughters place and got to rest as well as not being involved in that accident. I know that had to be freaky for both you and your husband. Hope that your MRI and MRA went okay and hope that they find out what is wrong and can get you well. I just found out by my blood tests and MRI. My blood tests were negative as there was nothing wrong in my blood. The MRI shows something wrong with my neck and am still waiting for the EMG results to come back to see exactly what is going on in my neck.

First I would like to say that I hope your tests come out good. And yes, I have done something similar before. My ex boyfriend was a fireman and I used to tell him when I thought there was going to be a fire and I was usually right. There have also been some times when I sense something bad is going to happen and something did.

Wow, that is pretty creepy! Well, thank goodness you did have that prediction though cause it obviously saved you guys from a bad accident. I have had some weird feelings like that about things before, but I don't really think they've been as strong as yours. One day when I was in middle school and my older sister drove me to school, and all day at school I had this feeling that she was going to be in an accident. I also felt calm though cause I felt like I knew it wasn't going to be bad and she would be fine, so for some reason I wasn't so worried. When I got home from school, I called my mom at work and she told me that my sister had gotten into an accident later after she dropped me off, but she was totally fine. It was a little weird!

You are so right it is a creepy feeling. I felt uneasy all day and blamed some of it on the fact I was upset about the tests.

Heh actually a prediction involves an event coming true as predicted. It other words, you prediction turned out to be false. The mere fact that you saw an accident along the way home really doesn't mean much. Let's fact it, you will see many accidents on the road. You are making a wild leap to assume that you would have been a part of it. I have heard this so often before, the funny thing is the same people get these feelings all the time, they simply never post it when absolutely nothing happens.
Sorry folks, I felt the thread needed one realistic response. I know I will take a hit to the old rep for this but truth is more important than popularity for me.

Everybody is entitled to their oppinion. While I don't agree with what you said I have no intention to rate you neg. It's your oppinion and Thanks for the response. We need to feel free to voice our oppinions and myLot will make their own discisions, I guess.

Yes...I have had some weird things similar to that happen. Like I will have a dream and it has come true in real life....However..it sounds like you could have a real gift of psychic abilities....that is rare...and I am glad that you were not involved and your family was safe...good luck in the future...

I know things at times, don't know what I know however if folk around listen it often helps them to avoid problems. I dream snippets and though I did not dream the housefire I have dreamed of being in the hotel etc. I think many of us can but just don't use it or believe in the gifts we can be blessed with. Thanks for sharing yours and I hope it serves you well!!

First I want to say that I hope that the results of your tests come back ok. I will be praying for you.
As for your question, I have had bad feelings about things, but not known just what it was about. I have had dreams that were pretty clear though. I dreamt of a fire, although I did not know where or did not recognize anyone specific. This was not when I had my house fire, but it was several years earlier, and about a week later a house about a block from mine caught on fire. There have never been any others as strong as that dream, but I have had a few more that did come true. None of the others has been nearly as big of a deal as a house fire either though.

Sometimes my dreams are so vivid that they really scare me, and sometimes I cannot really recall them. It has always been the vivid ones that have happened, although they do not always happen the way I dream them. I get nervous when I have a vivid dream, although it has not happened for a couple of years now.

I am so very glad that you listened to that little voice and missed getting involved in that accident! Yes, it has happened to me and I have a friend that it has happened to as well. SOmetimes it's nothing and other times it is something so I alsways pay attention. I remember once I was in a car accident and when I was finally able to get to a phone to check my messages, there were several frantic messages from my best friend. He said tht he knew something was terribly wrong but he just didn't know what. I believe in that stuff!

Yes, somebody has the superpower to predict what would happen. I had the superpower but short lived for a year so. I can predict when power-cut would take place and when it would come. 99% of the prediction turned out to be true. This was going a year but subsequently non of my prediction established. This is, I feel, plantary influence.

I believe that having predictions, foresight and the like has its advantages. It can save lives of many people. I'm really fascinated by this gift. Wish I could predict or tell the future too. LOL

I think we all have the ability to sense these things, but it is stronger in women. I used to tell my husband who was calling before he would answer the phone. I also knew when trouble was brewing before I got home. Now when I get that feeling that something is wrong with a friend or family member, I follow up on it. Too many times I have been right on. I think it is a good thing.

If you were having this conversation with my daughter she would tell you the same thing that I have been right too many times to not follow through.

All the time hon, both my son and I have a bit of physic ability. One example happened over 10 years ago. I was writing a paper for school, and my son and his friend decided to take my dog out for a walk. I just knew that dog was not coming home that night and the didn't. They say the lost him along the way and couldn't find him.

it must have been a happy day for you. spending a day with your child will make you feel so very good. just having the good times again when they were with us during their growing up years. it is also good that you were spared from that accident, grandmaof2. and to think that you were able to avoid it because you had fun dining with your daughter. it is such a good bonus that came your way, then. have a good time with the family always. we love you around here.

Yeah, I've had those bad feelings before. The last time it happened, I was driving to m father in law's house, and I remember thinking "gosh, this would be a bad time for my car to break down"
And about a mile later IT DID! It was horribly hot outside, and I had my dogs in the car. I have roadside assistance with my car, so a tow truck came, but I live out in the middle of no where and the closest dealership was 20 miles away. Some nice lady, she was a vet tech, she saw me on the side of the road with the dogs... and she stopped to keep me company until the tow truck arrived. That was such a sweet thing of her to do, and she said she'd hope someone would do the same if she was stranded and alone! And on top of that, my father in law was leaving to go out of town for 10 days, and he lent me his car while he was gone!!
Bad prediction, but didn't turn out so bad in the end!

I still think there's more to all this than we think. This reminds me of not so long ago I was driving in to see my kids and I got fiddling around with taking my cell phone out of the case which was attatched to my purse and I thought. "Oh I'd better leave it alone and watch the road and it was long before I saw a moose crossing the highway. I wasn't in any danger but that's just another example. There is a reason for everything happening in my oppinion.
