What is wisdom?

i think wisdom for me is both the internal and external application of profound knowledge or even just plain knowledge one has acquired; something like that. in the simplest way i could put it; its like you know something, you understand it and set yourself in accord with it (internally) and you know what to do about it or you know how to do it when a situation rises where such knowledge from you is needed.
