Do dogs FART???

I know in and out of dogs. Mostly, they fart without any sounds. but with smell.

How lucky you are not to have smelled a dog fart. The answer is that they most certainly do pass gas, although usually not loudly. Our oldest Springer who is about 18 months smells really horendous at the moment because we have been giving him fish oil capsules to treat his dry skin. His farts smell the same every time so there can be no doubt who did it. To answer your other question, on occassions when dog farts make a noise they sound pretty much the same as a small human fart.

Dogs farting or not is one of those information or facts that I could go and live without knowing. LOL. I certainly would NEVER try finding out if its true or not firsthand. I may faint or become epileptic because of such noxious odor.

wierd discussion but worth a post! Well, one of my friends got a cute lillte dog and she tell me that dogs do fart very often and and its pretty normal , like humans :P But it does smell or atleast i haven smelt the smell but have heard the noise!! :)

i think dogs doesn't fart.. they only burp just to release the extra gases that they have in their stomach.

I have a dog named bonjing, a half breed(chiuaua-askal). What is very funny about my dog is the way he do his farting activity. He will just going to stand up and go out of the bedroom and fart below a side table near a window. Bonjing is acting more like a human than i do. I do fart near people and my friends, but i`m used to it but not bonjing he will always have that farting activity everytime he fart. Just at the same right spot. It would sound as (proooouuuuuwwwwwwwt) but it is not as loud as i fart but it brings us covering our noses.

Oh yes my dogs pass gas all the time. Really it sounds the same as a humans. But it smells so much WORSE i mean it is absolutely rank! SO yes vesuvius dogs do fart!

Well if it makes any sound its like a small air puff. But it's usually silent and deadly. Or at least the little air gifts my dog gives are the farthest from pleasant.

I've been with my dog for almost 6 years. I haven't heard him fart. If i do, i'll let you know. lolz

Yes, they really do fart or at least all mine do. Most of the time it's the silent but deadly type and those are the ones that smell the worse. One of my dogs will actually look at her butt if she farts and it's a loud one. A loud one being that it's just like a little "poof". Of course, if one of them farts the silent but deadly one we do get a little warning from them. They will actually get up and walk away and about 2 seconds later the smell will hit us.

well i didn't hear my dog fart but i smelled it, there was one time when my dog and i are alone and there is a bad smell i smelled and i know from myself that i didn't fart..and absolutely my dog did it

Yes, dogs do fart! And man, the smell's a real silent killer too. Thankfully, mine doesn't. I'm not sure why though. I didn't realize that dogs fart until the day I was driving alone in the car with my aunt's dog with me. This is an air conditioned car so I had no escape! I suddenly smelt something really foul and since it wasn't me, I realized that it was the dog who did it. I had to wind down the windscreen immediately. It was quite sick and the little dog turned to look at me. At first I thought the smell might have entered the car from the outside. But my relatives confirmed that their dog has done this to many folks including them on many occasions. So then, I just knew.

lmao, this is hilarious! Yes my dog farts and burps all the time, he is worse than my husband and my kids combined. Most of the time it is silent and deadly as described before. Very apt description! But sometimes you can hear just the tiniest little poof come out. And yes it is hilarious to see a big dog of some 100 pounds turn and stare at his own hind end. The worst of it though is the smell. It is aweful no matter which case it may be. Silent or heard. But at least the burps don't usually smell. ;0)

i love dogs and i used to feed almost a dozen of them. and base on my mutual understanding with dogs, yes they do fart. and mind you, their fart is far more deadly than ours - humans lol. we just didnt noticed them farts because they dont make a sound like ours but they do as far as i know.

Yes they really do fart. I have a dog that can run you out of the room his gas is so bad and I have friends dogs who are like that too. I had always heard they didn't fart but once I got this dog and smelled him and the vet smelled him I changed my mind on thinking they don't fart.
