what do u think is a quality response

i have seen many people advising to post quality response , but i dont really get what is it, they say it must be 4 lines long and must have matter in it, but what i think may be different from what others think, then what do u think is a quality response and what kind of responses do u mark as positive

If it contributes to the discussion, regardless if it's positive or not, then I consider it as quality response.

If the response is out of topic, you may rate that person negatively. If his/her response is abusive or too offensive, then use the "!" rate.
