I personally dont get sick if I see blood, but I can sort of understand why many people do.
(blood being associated with pain ect. - this may even be a mental association that you're not consiously aware of making)
Something may have happened when you were younger where you got hurt and bled alot, or you may have seen something involving blood that you became scared off.
There are probably lots of other reasons that people react this way to blood, but this is the simplist one I could think of to explain things.
The best way to get over this would be to try and think what exactly you dont like about blood, why you dont like it ect and try to deal with it appropiatley
e.g. : If it turns out it was a bad experience that involved blood that's making you feel this way - then try to accept that this was probably a one-time thing and is unlikley to happen again. Or if it does, it is unlikley that it will effect you in such a way.
Hope this helps
looks like my psychology classes are paying off :)

i suppose u can get use to it. there are cases where ppl manage to overcome their phobias.
i do feel sick, especially if i see a lot of it and more so if it's my own. ;-) personal experience many years ago, i went to a clinic to get a blood test. the nurse fouled up twice... broke 2 test tubes after drawing my blood. Ouch! the 3rd time she pricked my finger... i felt dizzy... the next thing i know, i'd fainted and fell off my chair. well, what do u expect... i was already ill. so, yes... i am afraid to see blood. oh ya... and nothing beats sight of blood during childbirth...

Get used to it by handling the blood everyday. Overcome your fear by face your fear. Hahaha... i am OK with blood.. haha... i'm lying. I can't stand the blood and the smell of it.. it will make me feel dizzy and to vomit...
It just that i had never faint...

No. Although seeing blood before does make me feel a little sick. The only reason I never feel that way now is because I'm getting used to seeing blood and a lot of other gross things that come with that. Since some of my nursing duties (rotations) are in the operating room or emergency room, I've been used to seeing people die and gross accidents that includes blood (and a lot else). Best way to conquer your fears is facing it..beleive me.

Blood, guts, puss and all that stuff doesn't bother me. Of course I am planning on starting college this fall and am going into the nursing field. I want to be a surgical Nurse or work in in the Trauma Department.
I don't have any advice for you. Some people just don't have the stomach for it others do.
