Wowowee!

I'm not a big fan of Wowowee, or ABS-CBN in general. I think they're too much of a money thing, trying to up their ratings at all costs, doing nothing creative. But just this morning the TV was on when I got a haircut at the barber shop, and the contestants were kids of garbage collectors. For those of you in not from the Philippines, garbage collection isn't the same as in other countries - it's as third world as it can get. The kids were so simple, but when asked what they would like to say to their parents who were watching, they were so sincere. I couldn't help but get touched.

im not a big fan of wowowee but i like the way on how they help the poor people.

I like to watch wowowee, because for me its not some kind of a scripted show. That just my opinion, i don't know really. They invite different kinds of people,and only for a day they were able to change their lives. For some that are not so lucky enough at least they have something to bring to their families.

well for me,i'm a big fan of wowowie......we must appreciate how these young and poor people for being given a chance to participate in that show to enjoy themeselves and ofcourse to get small amount of money..i am not after of the ratiings of the show or how many people are patonising it but i am so after of the help they are providing to our fellowmen.Well,we should accept the fact that they are leading noontime show now because of the good contributions they have in our society.

well, just set aside the money thing. the important thing in this program is that they help the needy. as you can see, they're true and sincere doing such thing, though they sound and look corny, at least, they help others... they're generous...

I'm not a big fan of it either, but since they give money to those who really need it while putting on a show, then I guess it's ok. That portion where the people are asked what their dreams for themselves and their loved ones are can sometimes get so annoying, especially when you can see that it's so obvious that they are doing that so that other people would come and donate a little bit of their money. But most of the time the words, emotions and the crying are sincere and genuine, and I can't help but smile when people come and give out of the goodness of their hearts.

I like wowowie eversince. I like the first segment. They always give opportunity to those less fortunate, those who does not have time to fall in line to join their contest..

yeah you're right. i'm not a fan of wowowie too. but i always tend to watch that part since i can see how sincere those people are.. I'm always touched if the kids or the parents are telling their love ones what they really feel, that even though they are poor, they will always help each other. And that they love them so much. And i can see how filipinos touched the foreigner audience that sometimes they gave money to the contestants.

honestly, im a true-blue kapuso, but with regard to people who help needy people, i admire them for doing such.. with regard to wowowee, good for them that they are giving away money and opportunity to these people..
