An athiest or anthism is the absence of belief in the existence of God, gods or deities. Wiccan or paganism believe in polythiesm, which is the belief in of multiple gods or deities. As with any religion you can have your good and bad members. It is not though an evil based religion. In fact many modern religions have Pagan roots and have borrowed images from the pagan beliefs. You might be surprised at how much of some are really just images or ideas that have been transfered over, especially among the Christian beliefs.
Here are a couple of links to find out a bit more about Wicca:

I hope this helps

Exactly - Atheism is absence of belief in or the denial of the existence of God, god/desses or any Higher Power above the Mind of Human.
Wicca, as a particular religious form under Paganism, generally has a multitude of Deities, and could lend someone a few if needed.
Usually only people who are opposed to anything that is not their own belief will 'lump' everything else together and that practice, and the teaching of that view, has had a tendency to create confusion for people who are just starting to explore the rich multi-cultural landscape of faith.

I agree with most part of your statement, nevertheless not all pagans are poltheits, some do believe in ONE GOD|Goddess|All that is, like myslef ;)
We ( when I say we, I say pagans who follow my line of study) believe the Divinity to be manifested thru all creation , pouring form the One God|Goddess|All that is

Wiccans worship The Goddess, which is the immanent life force, as Mother Nature, the Earth, the Cosmos, and the interconnectedness of all life. Wiccans don't worship the devil, most don't even believe Satan exists. Wicca is a highly individual religion. Moreover, the number of different sects within the Craft may give the impression that two groups practice the same way. Though practices may vary, most traditions have many similarities, such as the working of magic and a respect for nature. Most witches find enough common ground for mutual support and productive networking throughout the craft community. Some wiccans use witchcraft, some don't. Since a commonly-held belief is that what is sent out is returned to the sender threefold, witches tend to be very careful with spells.

Wicca is a modern Pagan tradition.
it came to public awareness in the 1950s following the 1951 repeal of the Witchcraft act.
it was started by Gerald Brosseau Gardner in about the 1940s.
it's an initiatory tradition, requiring it's members to train with and initiate into a coven that can trace its lineage back to Gardners original coven. it draws influence from classical Paganism, from Traditional Witchcraft and from other initiatory mystery traditions, such as The Golden Dawn and The Freemasons.
Wiccans tend to follow a Goddess and God, they are usually duotheists. the story of their Gods reflects the changing seasonal cycles of the year, and there are 8 solar or agricultural festivals marking points in this cycle.
Yule - Winter Solstice - birth of the Sun God.
Imbolc - first stirrings of spring
Ostara - Spring Equinox - day and night even. fertility returning to the Earth
Beltaine - celebrates the marriage of the Goddess and God
Summer Solstice - celebrates the peak of the Sun Gods stregth
Lammas - first harvest. the strength of the God has gone into the grain, and this is his sacrifice to give life to others.
Mabon - autumn equinox. the second harvest fruits and grains. balance and plenty.
Samhain - the last harvest. fruits and meat. a time to remember those ancestors gone before us.
and back round to Yule again, when the Sun God is reborn.
they also celebrate Lunar Sabbats as a group.
Wiccans practice in a very formal style. very ritual based, with specific tools used, and specific rites performed.
as well as the more Traditional Gardnerian Wicca, there is Alexandrian Wicca. an offshoot founded by Alex Sanders. this is generally a bit more ceremonial in style.
