I was very tired yesterday and I didn't start any discussions. I did read and post comments to the discussions of others. But I noticed I did not make very much either yesterday because of it.
I was too tired I made a decision that resting was more important that being on my lot at this time.
Do you take a break from mylot if so why?
Do you set a goal for yourself, eg, 50 comments and 2 discussions per day?
Can you keep your goal everyday? Are you rigid about it, you do it at all cost or if you can that is great if not so what?
Or do you just come on mylot for the fun of it and post whatever whenever.

I try to get as many posts as possible but do not set a limit as i come on here while i am working or while i am at home tidying up or looking after my son, so sometimes have to get off the computer 10 minutes after getting on. I just try to reply to topics the best i can with out rushing through stuff.

My goal is 20 comments and 1 discussion a day. But sometimes I need a break from that. Sometimes I do two or three discussions in a day and 30 comments. So it all evens out when i take a break from it. I always make payout though. Glad your back Rose. Missed ya. :)

Sorry you weren't up to scratch yesterday, I think maybe your body just needed a rest away from mylot so you could get back into it today. Hope you are feeling better now and getting into those discussions. I try to pace myself on my many sites I am a member of, and always finish off the night on mylot. I don't worry too much about the amount I make I just like to have a bit of time and do a few discussions etc to keep up with it all, and take a rest when I can.

I do set goal to respond to a minimum number of discussions per day and often, I try to achieve it unless my internet connection fails me. I only set a target to post at least one discussion a week as I have problem deciding what is a quality discussion.

Even i was tired yesterday and could post very few responses and didn't even feel like starting a discussion. Well i do have a goal posting 100 responses and starting 3 Discussions, which is a difficult task. I never tried to accomplish my goals here on mylot. Since i know i am not going to have enough time to spend here on mylot rather than coming and leaving now and then.
My main goal on mylot is earning $1 on average in a day. But i know its difficult to earn that amount since i don't have any active referrals i cannot expect the earnings grow.
When ever i get some time i will login to mylot and see if can post some replies or not. some times i am flooded with the notification mails which i will delete even with out reading that is really bad and sad on my part.

my referrals are totally useless, I rely on myself and my ability to earn money on this site. I think I am going to turn off notifications of people who do not answer me as well.

Sometimes whenever i'm into the mood to post comments, i make 100 posts. But now, i have only made 50 posts. It's not necessary for me to achieve those number of posts. As long as i'm into posting here.

Hi Winterose I wanted to earn money when I saw the add for mylot, and very soon I discovered that if you do not mind penies then it is ok. I now come on to mylot because I do enjoy discussions I was on Yahoo answers for months and had well over 9700 post and didn't make any money as Yahoo doesn't pay, so Here I am just over 800 posts and will be getting my first payment in the middle of may so its a bonus for me. and I have become friends with a few wonderful people, like you.

It is so easy to get addicted to myLot (speaking from experience)! I guess it is because as human beings we are social animals and love connecting with others. I took myself out for a few days to do my taxes but my reward for being good is a couple of hours on myLot. Then I go back to the drudgery....I just come on myLot because I like poking into the discussions that interest me. I was feeling pretty tired myself (both physically and mentally) and I found that reading and posting on myLot was actually very relaxing and therapeutic! Hope you feel better, winterose! I'll be sending you some loving thoughts and energy...hugs! {{{*}}}

When I was just a newbie, I was real excited and totally hooked with mylot. I have set a goal to post at least 2 discussions per day and respond to as many as I can.
About two weeks ago, my spirit began to dwindle and I'm beginning to feel pretty burned out. You might notice it yourself that I'm not as active like before. I'm not even posting any discussion for several days now.
I decided to lay low for a while and tried to log in from time to time just to catch up on all my friend's discussions, including yours.

On my days off, I try to put in a whole lot of answers to boost my money; but with two teenagers trying to get on as well; that is hard; so I try it on my day off and all; I also don't start discussions much; I really reply to them; but if something is on my mind or I'm curious about something, I put in a post; If you can, post on mine about the book you are currently reading; love to hear from you.

I have no goal where mylot is concerned.I just answere the discussions when I have something to say and pass them on if I don't.I read alot of them that do not require an answer but I do love to read them .I find that rather then a one liner answer I respond to ones where I can add alittle something to the discussion.I like myLot alot and I'm just happy to be a part of it..The money is just a bonus..

I did set a goal for 10 comments each day. But of course, sometimes I just don't have time to go to mylot. But i'm doing the best i can to go here, and check my profile plus who response to my discussions. Then i went to my friend's discussion and other people's discussion. Sometimes i even forget that I got some work to do..LOL, too excited to write comments in mylot, i guess.

I understand...I feel like that some day too...like yesterday...I didn't feel like doing anything..including mylot. However...the last little while I have been kind of neglecting mylot and have not made the quota...so I wanted to make it this month. That is what I have been striving towards...and I think I will make it now...so that is good....every little bit helps is how I look at it....

I'm tired most days, I get up early & because of the fibro don't have a lot of energy. I may lay down & sleep for a few hours then get up and get back to discussions. I don't start a new one every day, because I just don't have anything to start one with. But some days I do several. I do try & respond to some everyday, but I don't like to just do "I like that too" type responses.

I haven't really been setting myself any goals just yet. I do have to work as well, so it will change how much time I have to spend on here. It would be ideal if I could respond with 50 comments per day and 2 new discussions, but I don't think I have the time to do that. I can understand why some days it is difficult to think of a new discussion to start, especially if you were feeling tired. Some days I think it is better just to have fun and hope that it works out. However I will still be setting some goals, once I figure out what is more realistic.
:)
