What do you teach?

Just curious to know what you teach, what grade, and if you are not a teacher, are you an assistant? Student? What do you like most about what you do? I am an Intensive Special Needs Instructor for behavioral challenged 7th and 8th graders (next year will also have 6th graders). The main subject that I teach is Math. But I also help out in all other core subjects and social skills. I do behavioral modifications as well. The thing I like most about my job is knowing that I make a difference even if that means I helped even one student turn their lives around so that they will have a successful life instead of going to jail, institution or worse...end up dead. What I do do is very stressful but worth it!

I am very close to teaching middle school science. I am in the interview process. I can't wait for someone to call and offer me a job. I am eager to work with children and teach them about science. It is all about making a difference in the life of a child.

That's interesting! I'm happy to know that there is such a specialization as yours so that emotionally disturbed and challenged children can be helped. I am a college professor teaching Pychology. This summer, I am teaching a subject on the Psychology of Children With Special Needs, encompassing all exceptional children--the physically handicapped, the emotionally challenged, and those whose intelligence deviate from the average or normal. But I don't handle the exceptional children, instead, I teach normal college students to teach later in Special Education. I salute you heart2u for such a wonderful job. God bless you for your unique contribution to society.

I am a Business Technology Instructor as I work with adults with mental and physical limitations. I help them learn how to use a computer, the windows operating system, Microsoft Office software, filing, math, data entry and other skills needed to work in an office environment. Adults with disabilities come to us for training so they can get a job working in an office environment. There are different programs they can learn. It feels great to know that i made a difference in their lives and hopefully they will get a job and be successful after they leave.

I am going to start my studies next year as a Eduaction Aise ( special needs ) so I can work at my son's specialist school. That way I get all the days off he does & only work school hours...makes it easier on all of us. I have wanted to do it for a while but I missed the start of the courses this year already & have to wait till next year.

I teach at a private school. I have the 3 year olds in my class. Its a difficult age sometimes but I really wouldn't trade them for the world. I won't be doing this for the rest of my life though cause I'm going back to school to get my degree in Nursing. Thats really what I want to do.

I teach grade 6 and 7 at a private school. Teaching is fun, frustrating and fulfilling at the same time. My family scolded me when I told them I wanted to become a teacher b/c they thought that it would be wasting my future. I was premed in college, but Intro to Chemistry changed my mind. I love teaching b/c it is my calling.

I teach Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science for students from fifth to P.G. I love teaching. For Secondary School students u have to teach basics in a simple manner so that they can do the complicated things using brain. Like if any thing to be multiplied by 25 say simply multiply with 100 and divide with 4. etc., these small tricks makes children to do things easily At the same time when i am teaching for Computer Science to P.G. students there i have to look the comments they pass before giving my lecture and the same time students to be appreciated. So in programming languages i use simple trick to get the effective out put so that students will be impressed and start to respect the quality of teaching and etc., Any how i enjoyed teaching I teach Mathematics Physics Chemistry up to 10+2 Mathematics up to P.G. Computer Science for P.G.level But presently i have choose a job in a aviation company in India for my financial growth but i never leave teaching which is my interesting job All the best for all the teachers
