For me, i think it would be better if you still keep those bags. Maybe your roommate is still busy for something else. Try to contact him first and let him know that you are planning to give it to the salvation army. Wait for his response before you decide what to do. Don't give the bags to salvation army without letting him know.

Its only 2 bags of clothes, can't you find a corner in a closet to put them in for a little while longer. Does he still want the clothes, if he does hang on to them, if he doesn't go ahead and donate them.

I think you are well within your rights to dispose of th clothing as you see fit. You aren't his maid and, unless you are planning on charging him for the storage of his things, you aren't a storage locker.

Don't do that. He would have the right to come back and sue you for what the clothes and stuff is worth. Does he have any family near you. I'd drop them off there and when he showed up tell him where to go get them. Or do you have a garage where you could store them until he comes for them? Try calling again or if where he's living now is close enough drop them off on your way to or from work. But try again. I did sue one of my ex-girlfriends cause we had been living together and got in a fight and I moved out. I was living in my car for 2 months. But anyway when I finally was able to go get them she said that she thru them in the trash cause I hadn't came for them and my share of the rent expired. Anyway I called the police and made a report and wound up taking her to court and won. The jugde said that no matter what had happened that it was my stuff and she had no right to do anything with them. He asked her to her face if she knew where any of my family lived and she had to say yes cause we had run together since high school. Anyway she woung up having to pay me $1500. I later heard that she wears some of my jewelry to this day and that she sold some of it. Some of the people just gave me my stuff that she had sold them. Which was very generous of them. But what ever I won in court. And if I ever catch her wearing any of my stuff I wouldn't hesitate to deck her on the spot for what she did.. So chose your course wisely. It can come back to bite you.. Tammy
