when hitler and nazi ruled germany, he created so many bad policies which terribly affect the world. one of his terrible policy is when he decided to keep his race (aria race?) pure by killing the babies and kids who have defects with them. i cannot imagine a man being able to make such a cruel policy. i hope the children killing never happened.

I would have to agree with you. then again, though a tragic thing, I wonder how it would affect history if we didn't come to this country. True enough, perhaps one or two of us would come over and do something like the Europeans and do some great things. Hmm.

I'm sure there are thousands of events that I am not even aware of that I would change in a heartbeat, but as for those that i do know of and what came to mind first would be the rise of Nazi Germany. For the jews and the Germans themselves that fell mindless prey to collective evil. Yours is a great one to choose as well.

Hi,
when I read your post I thought yes, that would be a good thing to stop. Then I thought well but it would have some bad effect as well, what would US be like now; even more scary? Also maybe a lot of music would not have happened. That's the problem there are many events I would like to have seen changed. The highland clearances; a euphemism for wholesale slaughter, rape and eviction of the Scottish clans, the holocaust, etc. But what if we stopped one of these great evils only to find it replaced with a worse one. Say we wished away Hitler only to find him replaced by an even worse tyrant?

Closer home, I wish we were never colonized by foreigners in the past. Colonial mentality of our people is one such undesirable by-product, that's why only very few of us understand the meaning of nationalism. . some of our fellow countrymen don't patronize our own products. Other practices such as lavish fiestas, Split-level Christianity, siesta, maƱana habit, cockfighting, etc. are also effects of colonization. Of course, there were other good things, but as a whole, colonization had an ugly effect on us.

we would change similar - but in Australia it would be the treatment of the aboriginal people. You see, the aboriginal people even welcomed the white settlers onto their land - so the colonies would have still been able to establish a civilisation while working together peacefully with the locals - instead they raped and pillaged hundreds of thousands much like the american indians. so now many aboriginals living in the cities are angry and poor - much like a lot of the african americans living in the united states.
