One of the things I hate most about my allergies is when I get post nasal drip. It just feels so disgusting when all that gunk is sliding down the back of my throat. It also makes me feel really thirsty. I'd much rather have it all come out of my nose. I guess it happens because a lot of the time the mucous has a hard time draining out through my nose. It's all screwed up in there. I've got polyps, a deviated septum, and something called paradoxical turbinates. I know I should get all that stuff surgically corrected, but I'm too scared to.

I had a huge problem with Post Nasal Drip. It drove me nuts especially in the mornings. All that garbage would drain down during the night and settle into my lungs. I mentioned it to my doctor when I was in the hospital for bronchitis. He put me on Astelin and since then it's been wonderful. There are days when I'd swear I didn't have allergies and the post nasal drip is pretty much gone. I recommended to my sister and she's started on it as well and it's helped with her allergies.

I have been suffering with post nasal drip for as long as I can remember. My throat is always so sore and raw. Nothing I do seems to help. I have had to keep water on my bedside to drink the minute I wake up to clear my throat. Then I end up with a stomach ache from the gunk going into my stomach.
