Have you ever sent someone flowers and never heard from them??

My step son girlfriend is nice one time when i see her and the next time she will not even speak to me. Usually i am the one that has to say hello to her and most of the time she says hi and turns her back on me. She gave birth about a mouth ago and i sent her flowers to her home about 2 days after she got home. I did not hear from her for 3 weeks and when she did see me she said.. Oh thanks for the flowers. I feelings were hurt for a few days after i sent the flowers. I did not know how to handle it so i never said anything about it. How would you handle a situation like that?
