I have tried the chicken feet but not the pork one. I like the chicken feet and it can be very tasty if you know how to cook them. In my house, my mother and now me always love to cook the chicken feet. What we always do with the feet is make a clear soup chicken feet with the spices and the herbs like ginger and galangal apart of the shallots and garlic. Another dish which we always make from the chicken feet is the chicken feet in the soy sauce. What we do is marinate the feet with some salt and thick soy sauce for a few minutes and fry them in deep fryer or pan. After that just remove it from heat and start to heat the cooking oil to fry the shallot, ginger and garlic before adding the feet in. After the feet is in, add 3-5 bowl of water and let it cook until the water become a bit dry. If the feet is soft, just remove it from the heat and serve them with hot plain rice. Don't forge to check the taste if the salt is enough before removing them from the heat.

I really like chicken feet, I think it's the second soul food. Others might not like it, but I love it! The nail part is definitely kind of annoying, but that's part of eating chicken feet. It's definitely not fun without having nails to pull but then again I know it's a food not for everyone.

I've never washed my meat before using it. What is the reason for doing this? I've never been ill from eating meat before. Washing the meat before cooking them becomes one of the rules for me in the kitchen. It just my procedure to cook and for me, it is more better and clean if I washed them before cooking. This is mostly for the fresh meat which I bought from the market as we never know how do the seller prepare the meat and where do they put them before selling those meat to us.

chicken feet is often found in chinese and south african cuisine. chicken feet is often an option at "dim sum" restaurant.the 1st time i ate chicken feet..boiled in the kosher soup my grandma made.they were spread out on a china plate. they were good: soft, fatty and salty. for pork feet, i think i won't taste it, i'm not a pork eater :))
