I had dinner with my friend last night at a very nice restaurant. We were half way done with the food when my friend felt she broke one of her teeth. She needed to spit the food out and bam! there it was! a small piece of metal, looked like a screw or a nail. We told the waitress about it and soon after the manager came to us and apologized. They didn't let us pay the whole meal plus we got dessert free of charge. Good thing my friend didn't break any tooth. Do you any similar experience of that sort?

Wow, your friend was lucky. Once I was eating at a cafe with my Mother and my son and there was a bug in my salad. I will never forget that. That was the last time I ate there.

Wow. How terrible! That hasn't happened to me personally but when I was a kid, either my Mom or my grandmother got a piece of someone's painted finger nail in their taco salad. Another time my great grandma's husband (my step great grandpa) had a rock in his food but to be honest...the entire family always wonder if HE slipped that in the food.

No but if I did I wouldn't be paying for any of the meal. I get so aggitated when I go to places and they can't get my order right or there is something gross in the food that shouldn't be thee.

Oh yes this is similar to what happend to my husband and I once. We went to this nice restraunt for dinner and all was going well, until the plastic that is. Seems there was a huge piece of clear plastic in both our meals, we told the waitress, and they not only gave us the meal and dessert free, but they gave us an extra free meal and dessert with drinks for the next time we decided to go to that restraunt.
