I don't know if I have a permanent favorite gem. I go thru stages or phases. I just look thru my stash and see what catches my fancy. Since I also make beads out of polymer clay, I am going thru an *imitation* phase right now. I was able to imitate jade & peach aventurine and have something right now that kind of looks like a banded agate I need to do something with. www.bibelots.etsy.com www.flickr.com/photos/bibelots

Polymer clay is really easy to use - you can start out with just a few tools. The only thing you have to have is an oven or toaster oven as the clay does not "air-dry" but cures at very low temps - 275 - 300 degrees. You can do alot with it - not just jewelry! www.polymerclaycentral.com - this is a good place to start checking out PC. Or just Goggle/Yahoo - polymer clay. www.sculpey.com www.amaco.com The above are 2 manufacturers of PC, and have a lot of info on their sites. Speaking of websites, I have just visited yours and noticed the area code and the pictures. Were the pictures taken at Brea Mall by chance? If so, we are neighbors!
