What version of Batman do you think is the best (the happy-go-lucky old one from way back when, or the grim and serious version from well, still way back when, but not as far back, lol)?
Also, what costume of his do you like the best? Some that I can think of are the light blue and grey, the dark blue and grey, the so dark blue it's almost black and grey, black and grey, and once I saw a purple-ish color and grey costume. Do you prefer any of those, or do you like one of the movie costumes more?
Personally, I have to say I prefer the serious version of Batman, since pretty much all superhero comics were goofy back in the old days when they got started, and you couldn't take the characters very seriously, and I like both his black and grey and his blue and grey costumes a lot.
I actually like just about any of 'em, and I really like the fact that depending on the artist drawing a comic/cartoon, they portray him in a slightly different costume than another would. You don't really see this happen as much with Superman, or Spider-Man, whose costumes seem to follow tradition and not change very often at all(sometimes an artist will make the web design in Spidey's costume smaller or larger print, and he had a couple of phases with different costumes, but mostly he's the same).

i like this batman thing altogether. for me, all the batman costumes look good. besides, the batman successor, who happens to be much slimmer looks good in his new batman costume which old batman had provided for him. he had to have this because, according to the story it makes his strength fold 10 times over.

Are you talking about the TV show, Batman Beyond? When that first came out I loved it as a kid, but now I don't think I would like it as much. The costume did look kind of cool, and the technological enhancements do fit the future setting, but one of my favorite things about Batman has always been that he was just one tough guy, with or without a costume, if there was something going on where he didn't have time to change into his costume, he could still probably handle it.

There are so many versions and incarnations of the Batman to one to choose, that choosing one it`s a hard task, one of my favorites is the one drawn by Eduardo Risso, the artist from 100 Bullets, in Batman Broken City story arc, it has a noir flavour and a meaner and harder visual and attitude, this Batman created by the Azarello/Risso team is defenitely one of my favorites.

i prefer the dark knight version.
they had made batman so campy and ridiculous, particularily with robin on tv they almost ruined the comic.
i was blown away that was mark hamill doing the voice of joker on the cartoon though.i wouldn't have thought he'd be convincing LOL

You're talking about the early '90s one, right? (the "good one" as I call it) Actually, I haven't seen that one since I was a kid, but I remember it being pretty cool, and I can tell just by looking at the newer ones that it was better than what kids are watching now.

I definately like the newer Batman better, that is the one Christian Bale played. It was refreshing to see a super hero with some flaws and mistakes past and present. It is hard to relate to perfection since I am not perfect. The almost black costume was good, but the ears were a little too long I think. I have to say the car was weird, it did some cool stuff but it was very odd looking. I do hope they change that a little bit...lol. I even liked the casting in the newer movie. Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine always bring out the best in any movie.

I would definitely have to say that the last Batman movie was far better than the previous ones. It was a lot darker and just more serious. I'm not saying that Batman has to be upset or angry all the time, but I'm just glad it didn't have any of the goofiness of the older movies. I also agree with you about the car. It was cool, but at the same time it felt out of place. I really liked the idea of him just plowing through anything in his way, but this car didn't really have any style to it, and Batman is like a billionaire or something, and I've always thought of the Batmobile as being something practical, (the tank definitely has this), but also kind of slick and good looking.

I'm partial to the Azbat version of Batman. I don't really like Batman, but when Jean Paul took over it made me change my mind, atleast until he was forced to give up the mantle. I think Azrael was misused personally. His Bat costume was awesome. It looked great and was practical/modern.

Yeah that was a very cool costume. I think the full face mask made a big difference, and the claws definintely helped give him a tougher image as well.
