I know of the dangers of buying real estate on Ebay but lets say you are interested in somthing. The seller has said he is using a title company. Would the payment be sent to the title company or to the seller? The seller has send the pmoney is sent to him, but Im cautious. This could apply to any FSBO transaction.

I would say the money would go to the title company but am not too knowledgeable about buying real estate or especially of buying it off an auction..I think you do have to be so very careful;)+

I could give you my 2cents but I always think that questions of a certain financial magnitude should be answered by experts. Try creditboards.com, select the forum section and then the mortgage forum. These guys are really good and should be able to give you all the details.
In addition, you might want to get an attorney involved.

Generally I've worked with Realtors and brokers and the money always goes into an escrow account through the broker. I would think that with an FSBO if there is a title company involved, the money should go there. I've been out of the business for a while, so I can't call myself an expert, but I think a third party escrow sounds safest. If you aren't using a Realtor, I'd recommend having an attorney help you out.
