What are your top criteria in choosing your college/university? How do you choose your college/university? What are your top criteria in choosing it? School's going to open very soon and a few of my friends are asking my opinion as to which college/university they should choose. I'd appreciate any of your inputs.

I will answer your queries with a set of questions too.
Does the school offer the courses or programs you want?
Has it produced good quality graduates based on board passing percentages?
Is the school located near your place so you won't spend much time and money in commuting?
Has the school increased its tuition for this school year 2007-2008?
Does the school have complete/latest laboratory equipment for science, speech and communication?
Does the school have good and outstanding teaching/faculty staff?
these are just some considerations to be made in choosing a school to go to.

In choosing the university/college.
First i look for what are the courses offered in school nearby, because right after high school graduation i already know what course i want to take up, i prepared two prospective courses.
Second is how much is the cost, i mean the tuition fee, board and lodging, transportation etc. I check if my financial resources are enough or is there anything else i can do to afford it.
Third is the convenience. Of course, having friends in same university is an advantage though you have to be totally independent during college. Having an old buddy can be advantageous, it is fun to share experiences and even sharing lessons especially to minor subjects. In addition to convenience, is how far your college/university from you home or from the boarding house.

I never choosed a college. I'm not on that age yet. But in my English School, there is a project that is based on that. You must pretend you were going to the college, and you must choose a college from another Country, and tell us why you've chosen that.
I must see if the college has a campus, what does the Campus has to offer, where is the college located, what is the price, if there is financial aid and this kind of stuff.
