SACKED X Factor babe Kate Thornton is bouncing back on to ITV1 — as host of a Sun-sational prime time telly extravaganza devoted to Britain’s living legends. The blonde presenter, who was left fuming after Simon Cowell gave her the boot, is to front Greatest Britons 2007 — a star-studded live show backed by Britain’s favourite paper. The glitzy event next month will honour Brits who have made a “remarkable impact” over the past year. And on the celebrity panel that will judge eight categories will be Sharon Osbourne’s daughter Kelly. Kate, 34, said yesterday: “I am delighted to be presenting.”
