I actually like different kind's of Martial Arts (MA) Box - very hard sport and it's not for everybody. Wing Chun - when I asked a teacher of this kind of MA , what's the purpose of it why it's good, he told me that "it's purpose is to kill your opponent as quick as you can OR to knock him down and finish him" . Of course this is when your life is in danger and as a sport this is not exactly true :) However I like offensive type of MA

I like Silat. It's a martial art from Malaysia and encompasses many different styles, the same way there are many different Kung Fu styles. I've been studying silat since I was a child and, just like Aikido, it has an honour code to develop one's spiritual personality, and is very effective in both defensive and offensive combat. There are also weapons studies. Recently, competitions have been organised to elevate silat to a sporting form. Of course, the sporting form is non-deadly and has done away with fatal techniques. However, the pure forms are still practiced and taught today in schools, universities and government agencies by Silat associations, academies and clubs.
