I have never seen yet a person win a court suite with out a lease for this type of eviction. Always went renting or leasing get a lease sign even if it for a day. That is the only protection a person has to protect themselves from landlords such as this or worse. The first thing to do is to read your lease. Find out if what you did was in violation of your lease. If you did violate the lease read more to see what the landlord rights are if you violate and what your rights are. Do you have a time period to fix the problem? Do you have to receive a warning? As I understand it, Louisiana law allows for 5 day evicitions. However, you have the right to be heard in court but you only have a limited amount of time to do this. What state are you in? In most places he must give you at least 30 days notice and go through a legal process for you to be evicted. Was this a notice from him or something from the courthouse? He cannot legally evict you withut going through the proper legal channels.
