Have you ever donated blood? Is it usual in your country of people donating blood?
I donated once when I was in university, it's OK of doing something you could help other people. While somebody just believe it's bad to your own health. What do you think about it?

I have before, I have problems with anemia so it's not always wise to do this, they can't accept my blood if it's anemic. But I did it when I was younger and healthier. I have received a blood donation too when I was sick and I'm thankful that someone did something to save my life.

it is good that you have tried it. the doctor said that it is good because, the body will immediately produce new blood cells to cover up for what was donated. new blood produced will of course be good for our health.

It is safe to donate blood, you can not get AIDS from donating. You are giving your blood not getting blood. It is 100% safe to do it.

In our country one has to be very careful even if he is doing a good thing. In big cities, some hospitals reuse the disposable syringes and without knowing the facts by donating blood a few were affected by aids. So at my age of 46 and having two young children I don't think it is wise to donate blood without knowing full details of the place where one donates blood.

I donated blood many years ago about 1970 my mother-in-law needed blood. After wards I was so tired and it took over a week for me to recover. So I have never donated blood since. Now I take so much medication that I doubt that they would take it. Some of my medication is celebrex and prednesone. The prednesone make the skin tear easily. and so forth. I would give blood now if I could.

i had never donated blood before. while i was still in college, they always turned me down because, i was too thin to be fit for the exercise. it is good that you have experienced it at least once in your lifetime.

I have thought of it before, but at this point I have never done it. My boyfriend has donated blood on numerous occasions, and I suppose it would be a good idea for me to do it too. Now that I'm no longer on medication, now would be a good time.
