i do not like my name at all. marie will be fine for me. i know that at this time it is quite easy to have our names changed legally. but, i'd rather just have it as it is rather than go to such lengths when it doesn't really matter so much.

The boy's and girl's name Marie \m(a)-rie\ is of French origin. Variant of Mary (Latin) "star of the sea". Earliest English form of the name which was revived in the 19th century. Scientist Marie Curie; Queen Marie Antoinette of Scots; singer Marie Osmond.

There are periods when i feel that other names are more suitable to me. The name is a cloth and a stamp what influences your personality more then you can imagine.
At the current moment i feel myself as Juana. Passionate name with deep and dark nuances:-)

I like my name just fine, although I didn't when I was a child. LOL If I can name myself then I think I would choose Carrie (because it sounds frienldy and warm) or Lorelai, Yes, it is a name from "Gilmore Girls", but I've liked that name for a long time.

During my middle school days my friends used to call me Jennyfer. But later when they came to know that I was a flower lover then they gave me a nickname Flora. My real name is Booi. The meaning of booi in my dialect is a kind of flower which only blooming during winter season. My dad wanted me to be as tough as the winter blooming flower lol so he named me booi. I like my name and I would rather to keep it with me forever.

Hello Booi!(",)
What a unique name you possess.(",) Flora also is a pretty name. Flora is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "flower". In mythology, the name of the Roman goddess of springtime. Also the name of a ninth century Spanish martyr-saint. Flora Macdonald was a Scottish heroine who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape the English. Florian is the patron saint of firefighters.

Actually, it is an honor for me to have the name that I do. I am the baby girl, with two sisters older than me and I am named after my mother, who was named after her aunt.
There have been times when I have thought about having a different name, but not only is it an honor, I happen to have a very beautiful name. Now, my middle name is a different story. Even though it is similar to my mother's middle name, if I thought about it long and hard enough, I would change it in a heartbeat.
Although, it does have a beautiful meaning and is the title of a song, it is still one of the ugliest names I have ever heard. I was out with this family for dinner once, and one of them got really upset if you called her by her first name. I remember thinking every family has their own disfunction.
I don't remember the name or exactly what she was saying about it, I just remember her being highly upset that someone had brought it up. Now that I think back on it, it was actually kind of funny that someone would get that upset over their name. Usually, a persons name is the most beautiful word in the word to them.

I didn't like my name when I was younger but I like it now. I also like the spelling. Just regular Brandy not Brandi, Brandee or Brandey.
When I was younger I wished my name was Helen. Funny to look back on.

A few years ago, I had that chance. I dropped my father's last name as my last name and took my mother's birth name, as my last name. I did not like the old tradition of being handed from father to husband, so I decided to stop it and take a different last name which I plan to keep after I get married.

Hello danishcanadian!(",)
Would you mind telling as what is the last name you are carrying now? It has been a tradition that the wife should take her husband's last name. In your case, is the changing of your name undergone the legal process? Did it costs so much in your part?
Thank you for sharing! Have a great day and God bless always!(",)

Hello Blessie!(",)
I can't seem to find the meaning of Blessie but all I know it originated in Australia. As you said the meaning will always be "you are blessed in any aspect in or life" and also "you will bless others as well with your life".

I actually really love my name :)
My name is Sara, and I was named after my Great-Grandmother (it is pronounced the same as Sarah).
I'm proud to have such a name :)

Hello Sara!(",) Hope you are doing great! You have the same name with my sister but her is spelled the same as your great grandmother. Sara is a Bible character and her husband is Abraham. I researched about the origin of the name and here is what I found.
The girl's name Sarah \s(a)-rah\ is pronounced SARE-ah. It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "princess".
Biblical: originally called Sarai, Sarah shared an adventurous nomadic life with her husband Abraham. She is described as being exceptionally beautiful even into her older years. The name became popular in the 16th century. Both Sara (popular in Germany) and Sarah are used in blended and compound names. Actresses Sarah Bernhardt, Sarah Siddons, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sarah Michelle Gellar; singer Sarah Vaughn; poet Sara Teasdale; Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York; figure skater Sarah Hughes.
Indeed, Sarah is a beautiful name!(",)
