The Gods are watching

If you want more of something, how do you get it? If you want more love, you have to give more love. If you want more peace in your life, you have to appreciate the peace you have now. The same ideas apply to everything in your life. If you want to create and enjoy more, be thankful for what you have now. Appreciate everything that comes into your life, for there is always something to learn or see (discover). The Gods are watching and if you cannot be thankful for what you have right now, they will not provide you with more for you to be ungrateful for. Any comments? Thanks.

Wow, excellent points Sigma!!!
Thanks for sharing this. Your statement about there always being more to learn particularly resonates with me.
Ya' know, my all-time favorite movie quote comes from "The Color Purple". The line is: "I think it pisses God off when we walk by the color purple in a field and don't recognize it". I tend to agree. I suspect that The Divine appreciates being recognized for the bounty and majesty in our lives.
It's kind of like being an aunt or uncle of two kids. One respects and takes care of the bike you gave him/her last year. The other doesn't. When the next gift-giving opportunity rolls around, who is it easier to buy a gift for?

i like the philosophy which is very akin to my philosophy.the gods are not watching us , the gods are actually guiding us to the right path, they make our rough stones smoother in time through past experiences. the gods will never leave us because they are out there , they are within ourselves, we just don't know.

I agree with you. We will be able to increase our talents if we use the ones we have. If we do not use the ones we have, we will loose them and not have any. It is by being greatful that we can realize what we have and though that way of thinking, we can have peace in our life. Peace in our life can give us so many wonderful blessings. The key is to appreciate, to acknowlege and to be greatful

It is true that we should be thankful in life. Many times we take many things for granted. Such things include our health and our beloved ones. We wrongly assume that we will be healthy forever and do not find out about our mistake until we fall sick. The same thing applies to our beloved ones, we assume that they will be around forever until we loose them.

it's so true, you have expressed it clearly. Whenever you want love from your spouse, underderstand & patience, you have to understand him/her first, have patience & love him/her thru your actions & appreciation of the person. The same goes with your children and friends.
Yes, to be able to enjoy and appreciate your blessings, even if you are in a struggle, help others that are also in a struggle, then you will know that you are trully blessed. Every struggle and obstacles are also opportunities, it is just a matter of perspective & finding the opportunity behind that obstacle. It is hard to accept but great struggles have the equivalent of immense opportunity. Seek guidance and faith, everything will be given to you.

I agree, and you made some great points of truth. It's like smiling. If you smile at someone, they will smile back. If you take for granted our gifts, they will be removed.

I am thankful for whatever my GOD gives me.
all the blessings he has sent my way each day. for every breath he allows me to take. for every moment he allows me to be on this earth to watch the children grow that he gave me...
My God (The father of Jesus) is a GREAT God and he has blessed me and will continue to be by me and bless me no matter what...

I really like this. I think I agree with it. I do believe that what you give comes back to you, and that being thankful for what you have now is important. Why would the Gods provide for the ungrateful? It's a wonderful point!
Thanks for posting this! It put a smile on my face, and made me think about things I am grateful for. =)

You are so right my friend sigma! God is watching our every moves and the way we accept blessings and trials depends on how we love and trust God.
When I want something and it is somewhat hard to reach or achieve I continue asking and at the same time thanking god for all the things he bestowed upon me.
Our life is not perfect but I must be thankful for all the blessings that keep on coming and the very gift of Life god gave me and the time to make my life meaningful and more colorful!!!
