Manchester United take on AC Milan on Wednesday night at the San Siro looking to seal a place in the finals of the UCL, having got thus far for the first time since 2002 I guess, when we lost to Dortmund.
Remember 2005? Milan beat us home and away? Fletcher missed the away leg due to injury and was crestfallen. To make matters worse, Scotland were to play Italy right there 4 days later. He couldn't participate there either. He gave a low sounding interview that he was extremely disappointed to have missed the chance of playing at the San Siro.
Well, Fletch, you are at it again! Grab your chance. I think Fletch will play a major part in the match - either in defence or in midfield, or simply by running around all over the pitch.. And his involvement in the match is also a certainty, more so, after the brilliant display in the first leg.
But its no secret that we are missing defenders, its still not clear who all will make it. Whether it'll be Rio, Vida, Gazza or all 3!Anyways, I think we shouldn't rush these guys back before they are fully fit. It'll be a risk to use up our substitutions and it'll be unfair on these guys and the ones who stepped in for them if they concede a FA goal...
I'll go for a 1-1 draw, with O Shea sealing our place in the final with a 88th minute equalizer! As for the latest news on match fixers' Milan:They rested several regulars in their Serie A match as expected, though Seedorf earned them all 3 points.
Maldini and Gattuso face a late fitness test to make the match and I think they'll make it.
On the other hand - a bad news that Pippo Inzaghi - a real pain in the a** for all defenders around the world has recovered from his injury and is expected to return to lead their attack. Pippo is a class act and needs 4 chances to score 3 goals.. One second switch off by the defender and BANG.. He finds space with ease as his movement is top drawer. It'll be tough for Heinze and Brown, hope they stay switched On! Also, Gilardino is more often than not, shite. So, apart from Kaka and the rejuvenated Seedorf, we have to concentrate on isolating Inzaghi too.
