Have you ever experienced forgetting something very important(let's say your passport) by the time you arrived at the airport. Share your experiences here.

My EX and I were travelling from Canada to Florida for a vacation. We didn't have passports but at that time we didn't need them, just proper identification. While getting our boarding passes, etc. I left my wallet behind. When I got to customs I could not go through because I had no identification on me. I had misplaced my wallet. I nearly freaked. We retraced our steps, checked garbage cans and then finally went to information. Fortunately someone had found my wallet and turned it in without touching its contents. I was so relieved.
We had been at the airport in plenty of time to make our flight so we didn't miss it, but it sure was a harrowing experience.
