I found that having a star helps my earning.

a lot of mylot users have experienced the same. although there has been no valid claim as to the direct correlation of earnings to the star rating. it is also possible that since getting a star rating, we tend to become conscious of the quality. we provide quality responses. and we do respond more to quality discussions now. :)

i really do think that the star having a higher rating will increase earnings. i dont think that mylot would have a reputation system just for others to see how positively regarded some person is by others. it should be that people with better reputations earn more. the reputation system is a good way for mylot to know how useful somebody's posts are for other mylotters and as a result, mylot should pay them more for their posts.

i dont think so. the star reflects how you are perceived at mylot. you might have made better posts and lengtier ones after getting a star. thats it.

Yes, you're right my friend. Even the system is still confusing us, but it seems to be the way. So, you focus on keep post the quality one and keep posting to get another color of star. :) i wish you a very good luck my frien and happy posting. I do not know if the star makes you earn more, I think when you see that star you are move motivated to particpate more, then you do get more earnings. The first day that I noticed that I had earned a star I was really pumped, and then I wrote a lot. Nobody will know how they do actually pay out, I have actually given up on trying to figure it out. I am just having fun chatting with my friends, and getting my questions answered. Have a great day!
