With macro you are able to automate your daily routine job. In order to do that you can use record function. Go to toolsmacromacrosrecord new macroname your macro--start your activites then after finished stop the recording--toolsmacromacrosstop recording. Now you can playback this macro. This will work perfectly well and is a good way to automate many repetetive tasks in Excel. The only downside is that by recording a macro you will generate a lot of pointless code, such as specifying that the text is not underlined etcetera. If you record a macro then I suggest that you open the visual Basic Editor window and remove surplus code to speed up the process. You can also download basic code examples and try editing them, and eventually learn how to write your own code to personalise spreadsheets.
