how to say thank you in different language?

i know in different country there are many different ways to say "thank you".how to say thank you in your country?

That's "obrigado" in Portuguese. (I live in Brazil) "Merci" in French. "Gracias" in Spanish. "Danke" in German. Those are the ones I know. ^^

I live in Canada, so we just say "Thanks" in English. Of course in the French part of Canada they say "Merci." My background is Danish, so we say "Tak" or "Tak For Mad" (pronounced Tuk Fa Meh) if we are thanking someone for food. And if you want to cook some food to be thankful for, you might want to check out my cookbook, of the same name "Tak For Mad," with Danish recipes, written in English. http://www.lulu.com/content/116633

I am a filipino but i know how to say thank you in the following languages: japanese = arigato spanish = gracias filipino = salamat chinese = xie xie ni
