My doctor suggested a new procedure. Has anyone heard/had this procedure.

My doctor suggested I have a procedure called Novasure. It is where they burn the inside lining of the uterus to stop/slow bleeding. Has anyone been through this? I am wondering what to expect. My doc says he has done several and that they are great. I would like a second opinion LOL
