What are you doing for mother's day?

I will be spending the first half of the day with my boys, not sure doing exactly what but they usually find a way to pamper me. The 2nd half of the day I'm going to spend some time with my own mother, just the 2 of us. She is sewing me a couple things which is so cool. I'm sure we'll have a meal together and just hang out which is what I enjoy doing with her.

I am hoping that my brothers and sisters and the rest of the family can come together and have a peaceful dinner. Or maybe if the day is warm a nice cookout would be great to get the cookouts kick started for the year. We usually try to do something. It isn't everyday we get to show or tell our mother how much she means to us and mothers day is a way for us to do that. I know I am not a biological mother but I am a mother at heart for I have adopted all the kids as mine..lol I am a God mother to alot of the kids in my family and sometimes others will make the day special for me as well by honoring me with a gift and that makes me feel good and accepted into the world of motherhood. I hope and pray that everyone gets to be with their mother on mothers day If not in body by spirit, God bless and Happy mothers day to all the women here at mylot may it be your best yet.

Im sure we will just do the same old junk we always do. Me, my boyfriend, my sister & her boyfriend will go to my moms. My niece will go with me since she lives with me. My sister will cook dinner but will also leave the mess for my mom to clean up. I dont cook but I will buy her a gift from me & my boyfriend then a gift from my niece to give her. WE will spend most of the day there. then late in the evening we will go to my boyfriends grandmas & give her a present from me & boyfriend. Then my niece will give her something from her. This year, my niece is giving my mom a movie. It is a movie that I made on my PC. It has pictures of my mom when she was little, pics of me & sis & louds of pics of my niece. The songs on it are "Dear mama by Tupac, Cats in the craddle by cats stephens & a few other songs that are appropriate for mothers day.

hi Not to sure what i will be doing this year but i think i will spending the day with my kids then cook dinner for my mum

I am hoping to spend the day pretty much by myself, reading, napping, maybe take in a movie. I spend most weekends with all my kids and six of my 7 grandkids, so some time to myself if my idea of luxury. My own mother passed away several years ago, my youngest daughter has to work and my older daughter will be spending the day with her child, so I can be selfish this year and take some time for myself.
