What do you do when your back is itching? Do you..

Use your hand, trying to reach to that far place of your back, hoping that you'll get there and solve that nerve racking itching problem?
Do you just ask one of your friends to start and scrub your back, directing them to that place? hoping that they will solve your problem?
Do you use a stick to reach that place?
Or maybe you use the great massage machine that reaches that itching spot on your back and does wonders.
I find myself just lying in bad, trying to be athletic and reaching that point on my back that seems to be so itching, hoping that I'll get there.
So what do you do? BE as creative as you want and share dear friends. :)

Like you I will try to scratch myself as far as possible. Otherwise I would request my partner to rub me and help me out. One thing I would like to mention here - once my skin specialist (Doctor) had told me in case of itching...we should not scratch of rub it....because our skin is very sensitive and if we do scratching...it becomes a vicious circle. He told me that instead of scratching...we should divert our attention to something else.

Some tips....you could have phoned someone. You could have sent SMS someone. You could have started attempting answers to the discussions at mylot. You would have taken bath, if possible.

I will scratch it first - subconsciously. Then I will try to resist. Scratching is not good. Just focus your will and the itch will stop. Or do something else to distract you from the itch.

I use the corner of the wall and move back and forth on it to scratch my entire back. It usually gets the itchy spot too! Works almost as well as having a friend do it!

LOL - I was given a very silly present a little while ago, it is a hand with the middle finger pointing upwards in a rude gesture, and this is mounted on a stick about 12 inches long. It makes the perfect back scratcher and although it was meant as a joke gift, it is very useful indeed.

well you already know what happens when you don't scratch the itchy part... it's irritating! doubly irritating if you can't reach it by yourself alone.
good thing my upper body is so flexible, my hands can reach any part of my back just easily. i never had to call a friend or use the aid of something else to scratch my back. :)

Scream out in frustration that's what I do, especially if I can't reach the irritable itch! That's why I dread getting my back burnt in the sun, it's not the burning sensation I can cool that down or live with it, but it's when it starts to peel, remember Baloo in The Jungle Book? He dug up a tree and using it as a scratching post lol! I usually find something to lean against then I rub my back up and down.

Lol wolfie, i am living now at my parents house, if i am going to scream my mother will come to my room with a big broom and start hiting. Lol. That would sure solve the problem.
You just reminded me the jungle book..ahh saw it a while ago. I will see it again..:)

LOL..just couldn't help laughing on visualising the whole act.
it annoys me to hell and having trying all methods (like try and reach my hands and nails, use a stick, or a pencil..), i would ultimately go to my mom to do the scratching act. but then, that is when i am lucky being at home. just imagine, having it on public place without any restrooms nearby. i think, i couldn't have escaped the uncivilised act!!

Hi, well when my back is itchy I have a back scratcher which is great and can get to spots which I cannot reach so since my husband bought this for me it saves my arms from stretching around trying to itch or asking someone else to do this for me.

I'm very lucky I have a very flexible body and I can reach my back pretty well without strain. I'm one of those who can grasp both hands at my back in what seems like 3:55 clock position if you look at it. So I have no trouble scratching my back and I can't remember an instance when I let somebody scratch my back for me because I do it myself all the time. We do have here a wood carved stick with the edge in the shape of a curved hand that can be used for that purpose. It's a novelty item here in the country and it's a very useful product especially to those who can't reach their backs or those who don't have anyone to scrath their backs for them.

I'm from the Philippines. If you have a Filipino store in your place that sells souvenirs, you should be able to get it from there. Or if you have a Filipino friend, he/she might know where you can get if in your country or they probably own one. :) If all else fails, you can always improvise your very own back scratcher. :)

When my back is itching,i scratch the place directly. My arms are long and flexible. But if my bf is around me ,i will let him scratch for me.He is too tender to solve the itching, then i'm going to be angry. He dont speak a word to me .After a while ,he will say sorry to me,and i forgive him.
We often quarrel with each other about such litte things. Then we are reconciled soon.

Well initially I try with my hand to reach the place of itching most of the time I am successful in itching the place, if not then I take a scale or a pencil or any long thing and that way I always manage to reach the place of itching. I never take the help of friends or any one else. When I was small then I remember that we used to scrub the back of grandmom in return of one sweet.

I can usually reach my own itch.
But there are times that I will either ask my partner...which, honestly, that does not help all too much. He is afraid of hurting me. ha ha
So other times, I will grab a pen to gain the extra couple of inches that I can not reach. Of course, you don't want to have the ink part of the pen out. ha ha Or you will be marking on yourself.

hehhehe try this one, get a cartolina or any paper about the size of your back. then create squares just like you are creating a large chess board number each squares and paste it in your back don't forget to make a copy in a small paper. then ask somebody to scratch your back by indicating numbers; for example the upper back portion is itchy and in your guide it is in number 4 ask him to scratch number 4 blah blah
that's all nyheheehehehehehehe
