how long you can pay attention to something ?

In life, we will pay our attention to something we like , and we might pay our attention to different things in different time.
When I was a child , I always pay my attention to play games,but I never pay attenttion to any game over 3 months.
I don't know why, but I will transfer my attention to other games when I play one game for a while .
And now, I still will not pay attention to something for too long time .
how long you can pay your attention to something?
and what kind of things you can pay more attention?

It actually depend s- if something matters to you then you will pay attention to it for a much longer time. if its the small things like studies or movie or something then the attention span is much shorter. But if its the important things like family and friends then that same span widens.

well i have attention deficit disorder so paying attention is always difficult for me. it takes a lot of effort for me to sit still for very long. even when i'm sitting i'm very fidgity.
