Hi everybody! I've been too busy these last few weeks that I was not able to post or comment on anything for two reasons; I have to cope up with deadlines at work plus a we just had a new baby. And I want to share my joy to my fellow mylotters. We had little experience with new born that we were basically flabbergasted.
The baby is not mine biogically, it's my teenage niece's son, meaning my first grandson, although I don't feel like a grandma yet. Since the mother is so young, she just turned eighteen before she gave birth to her baby, and I don't have a living child yet myself, the whole family are both awed and dumbfounded on how to deal with this bundle of surprises.
I am really happy and excited when the time come for him to enter this world, I think of him as my own, but we had problems too. First, the mother have flat nipples and the baby, Iysh-Chayil, have a hard time suckling from her breast. He often cried long and loud before her mother could feed him. It seem our little Iysh is short tempered and impatient that whenever he wanted to be fed, he want it now as in now, but the problem is, it seem he is not content with her mother's milk, plus the difficulty of suckling from her mother's breast irritate him.We don't want to give him infant formula because we believe mother's milk is the best, and since her mom won't be going anywhere in the near future it is only practical that she breastfed him. Does anyone out there knows what to do to make those flat nipples grow larger, or anything that could make Iysh suck from it more easily? Thanks..
