Windows XP Pro Freeze's At Welcome Screen?

Windows XP freezing at welcome screen means there could a problem with the profile. If you have another account on the system with Administrator rights then try to logon to that profile & rename profile to something like ikasutubhl.old & when you boot your system next time & try to logon it will create a new profile try this when your system is in safe mode. If you don't have another account & you have only Administrator account then boot your system in safe mode & try to logon with the Administrator account & see if you can rename the profile & boot it up in the normal mode see if this work. I never got this problem but i tried it on other systems.
