Ther are people living alone in their old ages especially for those who are above 70, what do you have to say about it? should they stay alone or stay with family or in old age homes?

Hi margareta, I absolutely dis agree to old people living on there own and or in old folks homes, I wouldnt allow any of my elders to be put in old folks home anyway. Although there are some old people out there that will refuse to leave family and refuse to go to homes, because they still want and need to have there independence.

I dont like the idea of old ones living alone in their old age because that's when they mostly need love and care. Granted their behaviours may be quite annoying at this stage of their lives but also remebering they dont have so much time to live longer should make the younger ones always love, care and bear their shortcomings.

My fiance's great-grandmother just passed away. She was 83. She was very strong and didn't need any reading glasses or walking sticks. I'm proud of my fiance's family cause even though she's really old they didnt put her away or anything.
I honestly don't like the idea of bringing our grandparents or anyone old actually to home for the ages. They get really lonely there. Here's what I always think. they took care of us when we were babies, now that we're older, we should be the ones taking care of them and NOT putting them away to some home. It's sad really. I don't know how people could do it. I can never do that to my own grandmother and grandfather even if my grandpa gets a little annoying sometimes. I love them too much to do that. They practically raised me.
No offense to those who have they're eldery in other homes.
