With the next Harry Potter movie only a little ways away, I have been trying to get motivated to do some Harry Potter oriented crafting done. This would combine two of my hobbies and theme crafting is always super fun.
So far I have made myself a VERY long Gryffindor colored Prisioner of Azkaban style scarf (I made this last winter), and stenciled and "Order of the Pheonix" Zippey jacket (my boyfriend designed the stencil). I have worn both these things to "Harry and the Potters" shows in my city.
What Harry Potter crafts have you made, and do you have plans to make anything new before the next book or movie comes out?

Thanks for the tips! I've tried making t-shirts before, but I don't know what to use. I've tried the iron-on paper but it's a bit expensive and I can't print white so that I could use it on a black t-shirt.I wanted to paint the designs on myself, but what kind of paint should I use? I painted one with poster paint but I think it's wash out if i wash it...
The mirror etching thing is seriously simple. I swear. It only involved cutting out some patterns and pouring some kind of solution and waiting. I think you could buy the solution in craft stores. :)

You can use Fabric paint...they have that at the craft store, or acrlyic paint on your t-shirts. Acrlyic paint won't wash out of your clothes...I learned that the hard way ;-)

I haven't made anything...I'm not really good at crafts. :) But there was one time I found this black toga (the one used in graduations) so I asked our helper to stitch a hood onto it so I wore it and had a mini photo shoot with my friends. :)
Oh, and when I was in high school we had a project for Home Economics, it was glass etching. We had to make patterns and we just stick that to the glass, apply some chemicals and wait and then voila! glass is etched. I made the letters HP in the HP font and a thunderbolt. I don't know where I placed that mirror now... Ok now I have to look for it...
Before the book is released, I wanna make an I *heart* Harry Potter t-shirt to wear to the book launch. :)

I don't know...it sounds like you are pretty good at crafts to me. That glass etching sounds pretty cool.
There are sones of cool options for making t-shirts. you can get super afforable plain t-shirts at a craft store and then try stenciling, inron on transfers, or fen iron on sticky letters. I think those are pretty fun. Happy Crafting!
